Female Ruby Throat Hummingbird
Eyepiece: Tele Vue Panoptic 22mm
|
Telescope: Tele Vue-85
APO All bird images were taken
by Mr. Derry Mount through a Tele Vue-85 telescope, the
indicated Tele Vue eyepiece, and a Nikon Coolpix 990 (2,048 x 1,536 pixels
maximum resolution) digital camera. A Tele Vue Digital Camera adapter was used
to solidly mate the camera's non-removable lens to the Tele Vue eyepiece. The
long eye relief designed into many of Tele Vue's eyepieces allows for afocal
imaging with minimum vignetting. This system of "afocal" imaging is a
convenient way to take telephoto images with cameras that have
non-interchangeable lenses.
