All bird images were taken by Mr. Doug Askew through a Tele Vue-76 with 4x Powermate and a Canon 10D digital DLR camera. Images were processed in Adobe Photoshop.

Mr. Askew's setup does not use an eyepiece as in Digiscoping or "afocal" imaging. Instead, the TV-76 is used as a telephoto lens. The 4x Powermate increases the focal length of the telescope by four times and provides an SLR camera connect by way of standard T-Ring. With the 4x Powermate, the compact TV-76 is converted into a 1920mm "super" zoom.
