Peter P. Lardizabal sent us nature images, taken with the Tele Vue-NP101 and Pronto, made at prime focus with a Canon 30D DSLR. Here are excerpts from his letter to Al Nagler.

In the past six years ... I have had the joy of using and sharing optics designed and crafted by you and your company. Of the eight comparison microscopes and the nine stereo microscopes in our laboratory I can readily find flawed areas in any of those scopes. No optical system is truly flawless. However, I have visually not found fault with the NP 101. As for the Pronto, my first Tele Vue scope, a trusted friend is treasure even with a few short comings (a little color is a fair trade here for price and portability). My Pronto almost always goes with me in the car along with a digital SLR.

I do enjoy trying to push the limits of my gear. The new Canon 30D is proving to be a pretty good match with the NP 101. When set on "Manual" I can meter though the scope and set the shutter and ISO and usually nail a shot.
